In reply to Srimadhwa B's post on August 2, I have had other laptops with MS OS's -all had a instant recognition when a device was attached via a USB if it is apart of the OS -I don't see why rebooting the computer would solve the problem. In reply to bo2bazi's post on December 20, Me too. OMG it's driving me insane! I'm having the same problem. USB mouse not working. I have tried 3 different models and non work. When first plugged in the notification acknowledges it and it will even load a driver if it is a new device but as soon as it recognizes it is a mouse the usb port will drop power to the mouse lights will go off on mouse.

The mouse I was using when this all started has lost its driver and windows cannot find the driver with the look online or windows update. It is almost like it is not looking at all because it is almost an instant cannot find driver message. I have done all the steps to fix this and nothing is working. Reading online forums that a full windows install is the only thing to correct this. You have got to be kidding me Old or incompatible USB mouse drivers might be the reason behind the mouse not working in Windows That said, what DPI do you prefer for your mouse?
